What You’ll Do

As an LVT at HAH, you’ll work closely with our veterinarians and support team to provide excellent patient care, including:

  • Assist veterinarians during exams, procedures, and treatments

  • Obtain vitals and patient histories

  • Perform venipuncture, urinary catheterization, and IV catheter placement

  • Take high-quality digital radiographs

  • Conduct in-house diagnostics (hematology, urinalysis, cytology, microbiology, etc.)

  • Prepare patients and monitoring equipment for anesthesia; induce and intubate patients; monitor anesthesia safely and confidently

  • Perform dental cleanings (prophy, charting, radiographs if applicable)

  • Fill and review prescriptions, maintain pharmacy records, and manage controlled drug logs

  • Educate clients on medications, home care, nutrition, parasite control, and preventive medicine

  • Participate actively in maintaining a clean, organized, and positive work environment

  • And of course—other duties as needed in a fast-paced, supportive hospital
